I have designed my web site with your interests in mind. Drop me a line, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Hi! Thank you for visiting my biography page! It truly is a pleasure to entertain you for a short while on how I made the decision to enter the real estate business and to tell you a little about myself.

I am a graduate from Red River College. I have a degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. I liked the marketing aspect of business because it is fun and challenging to find something innovative and unique to present to an audience.

I most definitely am a people person who is an energetic and a happy go lucky kind of gal that likes to have laughs and loves to negotiate! I have a hard time sitting still and I always need to have new challenges brought before me. Being this way, I felt that real estate would be the one occupation that would allow me to be my own boss and present new challenges on a regular basis! I have a vast knowledge of the marketplace which is key when working in this profession, and I always make sure that my clients are well taken care of whether you are buying/selling a $50,000 house or a $500,000 house.

I have a full time Client Care Coordinator, Shannon Martin, who works very hard with me to ensure everything in my business is taken care of in a timely, efficient manner and there is always someone to get a hold of if you have any questions and concerns. We go that extra mile to make sure everything is taken care of so that it is a stress free pleasurable experience for all of my clientele. My biggest pet peeve in the business world today is the lack of customer service and I find that there is nothing more frustrating than having an urgent question or matter to tend to and there is no one on the other end to help you.  I assure you that we will not leave you stranded and if there is something you need that we don't have the answer for, we will get it for you in a timely fashion!

As for work experience, well, I guess you can say that I entered into the world of real Estate at a very young age. My father, Len Wilke, has owned and operated 2 major real estate companies, currently, Wilke and Company, www.wilkeco.ca.  Since the age of 10, I have spent a lot of time in his office doing paper work, dealing with clients and learning what it takes to be a successful real estate agent - by example of course!  My mother, Lynda, has worked hard by his side making sure that everything is running smoothly and efficiently. After 12 successful years selling real estate, my sister Dana moved into a new profession and was the Manager of my prior office in Winnipeg, Remax Professionals. Dana is the one who invited me into the world of real estate 2 years ago, and I truly thank her for her support and knowledge base that she has shared with me.  My other sister Pamela lives in Edmonton Alberta and works for a transportation company. She thinks that if she moves away, the real estate bug won't find her... it's just a matter of time!

I have worked many different jobs through my life before entering the world of Real Estate. Besides working in my fathers office I have had a lot of different and unique jobs throughout my life including bartending, horse training, combining peat moss, strawberry farming, milking 150 cows twice a day (12 days on-2 off) and the list goes on... mostly hard physical labour jobs. I wanted to experience and learn new and exciting things while I was young.  I have learned much through my menagerie of jobs and the people I have worked with, not to mention, they all kept me in great physical health. I am a believer that all of our life experiences make us who we are today. My parents always use to say to me "there is nothing in this world that you can't have, all it takes is honesty, vision and hard work and it can all be yours." And then they would add - what doesn't break you will make you stronger. I think I took that statement to the edge once in a while with some of the crazy jobs I have had, but everything worked out just fine and here I am today.

Now, no one can work 24/7, so there are a few hobbies and people I like to spend my personal time with... I enjoy spending time with my extremely supportive husband, Gord. We go to our cabin in the summer to fish, hike, entertain guests and just relax and dream together.  I have quite the collection of pets. I enjoy walking my dog Abby, playing with my 2 mischievous cats Romeo and Billy, and I have recently purchased a new addition to our happy family. His name is Wrangler - a 4 year old Clydesdale cross quarter horse that is as energetic as I am and ready for new challenges wherever they may be. I also enjoy reading (mostly poetry and non-fiction books), photography,  going on long drives discovering new places, going to the beach, and watching the sun set and having memorable moments with friends and family.

I feel that if I have learned anything within my years of hard work, the 2 most important things would be to learn how to balance your work and personal life and you have to be passionate about your career to enable you to provide the best experiences possible for your clients. I love my profession and I'd welcome the opportunity to work hard for you.
